We are delighted to have won 1st prize in the Wohnvision feasibility study for Bertschikon, where the Iselacher Wohnbaugenossenschaft is planning 45 flats. The mix of flats is characterised by diversity and ranges from studio apartments to a three-storey cluster flat. The complex is designed to be built in timber construction.
The Awards for Good Buildings of the City of Zurich were presented for the 18th time, in this case for the period from 2016 to 2020. We are pleased about the mention for our Buchegg Estate. The exhibition at Architekturforum, which runs until October 30, presents the 21 nominated projects, including 12 award winners and 9 mentions.
We are pleased to announce the publication of our monograph “Duplex Architects – Rethinking Housing”. It has now been published by Park Books and is available in bookstores or directly from the publisher. The book provides an insight into how we work in housing construction. Five projects in Switzerland, richly illustrated with images, plans and visualizations, illustrate our approach to urban design, typology research and materiality.

The Glasi Quarter is taking shape. The shells of all 21 buildings are finished. Almost 550 apartments are currently under construction. Completion is scheduled for 2022.
We are very pleased to have won 1st prize in the competition for the conversion of the parking garage at Neue Gröningerstrasse 12 in Hamburg! The Gröninger Hof cooperative is planning to implement a lively mix of living, working, culture and restaurants in the heart of Hamburg’s old town by 2025.
Deconstruction at Wydäckerring has been commenced. The webcam shows the current status of the construction site. The laying of the foundation stone is planned for fall 2021.

Once again immersed in winter: Our snowshoe hike ended at the Brisenhaus in the Canton of Obwalden. Now we are ready for spring.
Now we get started; the shell construction of the housing development in Cologne begins. In the Cologne-Sülz district, we are building around 50 apartments for a mixed group of residents on behalf of Wohnungsgenossenschaft Köln-Sülz eG. Completion is scheduled for summer 2021.
Our peep-boxes on the Glasi Areal are part of the exhibition “Public Architecture – Future for Europe” at the Shusev State Museum of Architecture in Moscow. The exhibition is open from 31 January to 10 May 2020.
From 93 submitted projects, 16 were selected for nomination for the Architecture Award of the Canton of Zurich. Our Buchegg housing estate is one of them.
